Organisational and company restructures Improving the effectiveness and quality of organisations, corporations and government authorities is the premise underpinning this work, which encompasses reviewing issues and needs, and designing, developing and implementing plans to achieve the most efficient and effective outcomes. Assessment and development centres EFI International has a wealth of experience in the design and conduct of assessment and development centres for technical and non-technical disciplines across diverse government and private sector industries—from small numbers of company personnel through to high-volumes of young job seekers.
Corporate governance Projects undertaken for companies and government agencies by EFI International in this increasingly critical area have the goal of ensuring effective management, in particular, management that will withstand external scrutiny. Work includes procedures and responsibilities covering board structure and membership, codes of conduct, financial reporting and auditing and risk management. Leadership development Simply, the role of an effective leader is to set direction and guide others, extending further than management to hone qualities like integrity, determination and passion. EFI International works with organisations to both identify the next generation of leaders and customise programs to develop them.
Mentoring and coaching The Dubai Government leaders mentoring program, which saw 55 departmental heads mentored and coached by a team of business executives from Australia, under the EFI International banner, is an example of work in this area. Like numerous other programs operated at staff through to the highest levels of an organisation, this was tailored to suit.
Policy design and implementation As well as key policy development and systems implementation in the areas of employment, youth, and training and career pathways, EFI International is experienced in advising, analysing, developing and implementing quality management systems relevant to government, industry groups and private sector enterprises.
Systems implementation Putting a planned quality system into effective operation more often than not demands organisational, cultural and behavioural change. EFI International’s approach is to listen to clients and adapt its services to address client needs. It’s one of the strategies that have helped to build long-term relationships across numerous industries, including the health sector and hospitals in particular.
Job evaluation Jobs are subject to change because of factors such as a shift in the scope or function required of the position, following a restructure, or redesign of or change to associated jobs. EFI International has broad-based experience in objectively evaluating what a position does and the requirements of that position, in particular, as a result of major restructure.
360-Degree Feedback 360-Degree Feedback: is employee development feedback that comes from all around the employee. "360" refers to the all the degrees in a circle. The feedback would come from subordinates, peers, and managers in the organisational hierarchy, as well as self-assessment, and in some cases external sources such as customers and suppliers or other interested stakeholders.
The results from 360-degree feedback are often used by the person receiving the feedback to plan their training and development of the organisation. The results can also be used by some organisations for making promotional or pay decisions, which is sometimes called "360-degree review. A study on 360-degree feedback to leaders conducted by Arizona State University has supported the hypothesis that improvement in a leader’s consideration and employee development behaviors will lead to positive changes in employees' job satisfaction and engagement, and reduce their intent to leave (Brett 2006).
